Hi,

In my web application I have used session-timeout as 1 min. In IE, session expires after 1 min, but in firefox, session doesn't expire. I have used filter and set an attribute in a session. In IE, after 1 min, I don't get value for this attribute, but in Firefox, it returns the value. Does anyone know about this? It is bit urgent.

As the web application is hosted in one server and its working for IE , but not for Firefox .So I think its issue with Firefox settings.

Sessions objects are maintained in the server and client tracking is done using cookies.

Try some Firefox settings related to cookies and browser cache.

Thanks for your response. I tried clearing private data and I allowed cookie for that session. But still it's not working. I am not sure if I am changing correct settings. I tried getting last accessed time for that session. It is continuously changing for Firefox while for IE, it is actual last accessed time. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

hi,
I am seeing a similar issue. Were you able to find a fix for this?

I had a similar problem.

With firefox, when I run a small JSF application i loose my session quickly for no reason.

What I have do to resolve this problem is to go in FF settings.
Tools > Options > Privacy. Then click on "Accept cookies from sites". Keep until they expire.

Hope this helps.
