Help with jacl script

Hello everyone, I'm trying to use a script to stop and start an application in Websphere 5.1.
When the script runs, I get this error:
WASX7022E: Problem running command "'\$AdminApp" -- exception information: com.ibm.bsf.BSFException: error while eval'ing Jacl expression: invalid command name "'$AdminApp"

I'm just trying to stop/start an application. Also, after we get this part working, we would like to stop, uninstall the app, install, and start. Do we need to 'stop' the app first using wsadmin just like the gui or can we just go to uninstall? Feel free to email me asap. Thanks everyone.

Here are some examples:

There are plenty more out there.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
