I am new to Web sphere application server but not to j2ee standard. I want to take Web Sphere certification exam to understand the appserver better? Do you think is it a worthy choice.

Using the certification exam as a plan for learning websphere is a good strategy. Also, getting a certification is good motivation to learn.

Check out some of my signature links for information on doing WebSphere Administration.
