I think the section on JavaRanch-JavaStyle Guide which talks about coding standards and practices...whereby it states that
95% of the standards outlined in this document are what is found in the JDK source.
Which i felt was untrue as the actual java src code which i checked of ver1.3 did not have the same format. that very much concludes that the Sun Microsystems developers do not follow the above coding style.
I suggest that u'll better have a closer check on the format, and accordingly update the 'JavaStyle Guide'.

I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
