Question about Java Stored Procedures

If you write a Java stored procedure for Oracle 8i, and lets say this procedure uses a class contained in a JAR file, where do you place the jar on the database server? In other words, the JVM running inside Oracle must be using a default CLASSPATH of its own, so I'd like to place the JAR file in a location appropriate for the procedure to find.
