Does anyone know how to customize the ui in i-Portal navigator? Basically, I need to hide some sensitive tables in my i-portal navigation bar. I guess that you can use the IFS API's, does any brilliant Oracle guru know how to do this?

I do not have any experience with i-portal.
see whether this helps:
http://otn.oracle.com/products/iportal/htdocs/portal_faq.htm#PortalPages
and
Oracle Portal APIs are a part of the PDK (Portal Development Kit).
The PDK can be downloaded from
http://technet.oracle.com/products/iportal/
After the download and uzip, you may access the information from
..\pdk\plsql\doc\astart.htm
