Hi,
I am following a post on a MapInfo forum on serving MapInfo MapXtreme from within IAS instead of the bundled tomcat.
Everything seemed to be going fine until I tried to deploy the map.ear file I had created.
I got the following:
C:\oracle\oraDev\j2ee\home>
C:\Java\j2sdk1.4.1_02\bin\java -jar admin.jar ormi://localhost:23791 admin welcome -deploy -file C:\MapInfo\MapXtreme-4.5.0\war\map.ear
-deploymentName map
Error: javax.naming.NamingException: Lookup error: java.net.ConnectException: Co
nnection refused: connect; nested exception is:
java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect
Everything seems o.k in principal.xml and rmi.xml says it is on port 23791, I soughta stuck as to where else to try
Any pointers or help on what I might have done wrong would be great.
Thanks in advance
Phil Maskell

it looks very much like your password is wrong

Hi,
I've set the password to welcome for admin in principals.xml, does this need to be setup in Oracle? Does Oracle have a default admin password, I doen't remember it asking when I set it up.
Thanks
Phil

the defaults (for Oracle) are
system/manager and sys/change_on_install. You will also have accounts such as scott/tiger.
However I think it's not the Oracle password. It looks like the ldap password? or maybe ldap isn't running?

How do I tell if LDAP is running correctly?
What is the default password?
