This week's book giveaway is in the OO, Patterns, UML and Refactoring forum. We're giving away four copies of Refactoring for Software Design Smells: Managing Technical Debt and have Girish Suryanarayana, Ganesh Samarthyam & Tushar Sharma on-line! See this thread for details.
I recently had to rebuild a machine and reinstall Oracle and Micro Focus Server Express. I am having trouble with pre-compiling COBOL programs with the PRO*COBOL compiler.
I am getting a non-fatal error message with precompilation when attempting to compile programs that compiled successfully in the past (before the rebuild). Having trouble finding out the problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated?
Also, when attempting to compile COBOL programs that do not have any SQL, I still get the same error message about precompilation. I don't understand why is attempting to do the precompilation step. Is this standard behavior? What are we missing? Thanks.
