hosting the same app in two contexts

Hello, really I am trying to host one web application in a context "/lnie". But I also want the Root context to resolve to /lnie.
If I put in the "" empty string context (default) context as the documentation says to solve this problem I end up with two applications with the same docbase.
I tries to run my bootstrap clases twice and doesn't recognize them as the same application. Which I suppose is normal.
But how do I do this. I still want to run the manager context and maybe other contexts but I want root to resolve to the /lnie web application.
I can't make the /lnie appication simply refer to itself as the "/" application because what if I decide to make a different application the root one and move that one back to lnie? The links won't work.
In Tomcat 3.2 this didn't happen. It only loaded one instance. I don't know what the difference is though.
