MaxRequestsPerChild param in httpsd.conf file

Hi, all

I found the apache process keeps growing on our site and got frozen when the process number reached the "MaxClient" setting in httpsd.conf file. So we have to restart server from time to time. I haven't found the real reason but I did notice that the "MaxRequestsPerChild" is set to 0. Our server is running on Solaris, not Windows.
I wonder if this the what we are looking for. I checked some doc, they say default value for it should NOT be 0 if server is running on Unix.
Could anyone explain me if it is true or not ?
