mod_webapp patch

I really hope someone can help me with this...
I'm experiencing a problem uploading files to Apache, and through investigating various forums, I believe it's due to a bug that exists in mod_webapp. I see that there's a patch checked in to the CVS at Apache, but when I hit the "download" link, or right click & "save target as", all I get is the source - there's no compiled version to download. I'm really new to Apache (& webapps altogether), and have no idea whatsoever how to compile this - I'm told it would be a real pain on Windows.
Does anybody know where I can get a compiled version of the most recent mod_webapp.c or at least something after November, 2001?
Many Thanks!!!

I've got a feeling this won't help, but why can't you just reinstall the latest version of the complete Apache?

I have seen things you people would not believe, attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion, c-beams sparkling in the dark near the Tennhauser Gate. All these moments will be lost in time, like tears in the rain.
It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
