I am trying to run a webapp which utilizes the Struts framework. This app is deployed using Ant 1.4, and was working while using jdk1.3, Struts 1.0, and Tomcat 4.0. However, after installing j2sdk1.4, Tomcat 4.0.3, and Struts 1.1-b1, I get the following errors:
localhost log:

java.lang.NullPointerException
at org.apache.commons.logging.impl.Jdk14Logger.warn(Jdk14Logger.java:290)...

Just a little more information on this: When I first bring up Tomcat I am able to instantiate a DataSource no problem, but this error occurs later on, via an action class, when I do a "pool.getConnection()". Hopefully, that might help narrow down the problem...

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
