This week's book giveaway is in the General Computing forum. We're giving away four copies of Arduino in Action and have Martin Evans, Joshua Noble, and Jordan Hochenbaum on-line! See this thread for details.
We are using Apache 1.3.14 and tomcat 3.3.1 on solaris. Our application consists of JSPs and Servlets. Occassionally, we get into this scenario where there are just too many httpd processes running (any where between 60-150), even if it was just one developer testing the application. Restarting Apache does not help. But, if we restart tomcat, we are back in the business, until this scenario appears again. Is there anyway something in tomcat can initiate more httpd processes? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. -Bala
I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to
run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
