Hi there !
I've got (maybe a stupid) question.
As far as I know follows Tomcat 4.0.3 the Servlet 2.3 Specification.
Now I'm working on a listener class where I have to import the interface (since PSecification 2.3)
"ServletContextAttributeEvent". I added the servlet.jar from the Tomcat 4.0.3 common/lib path into my project. But the compiler tells me that he couldn't resolve the Interface. Why ?!?
Doesn't the servlet.jar follow the servlet 2.3 specification ?
I would be happy to hear from you!
Thanks,
- Thomas -

do you have an older version of servlet.jar that is in your 'class finding path' *before* the newer one? So if you're using JBuilder for example, you'd have to remove (uncheck) any older Tomcat jars, since I'm not sure how you ensure order on the -classpath option that gets sent to javac.

Thank you very much for your reply, Mike !
I've checked everything proper.
This servet.jar is the only one I have
in my classpath. But after all I think
there's something wrong in my development tool
(it's connected with Tomcat and runs the applications on him).
I guess I have to look in that direction further...
O.k. - Thanks again, Mike !
Keep your fingers crossed, that I will find the mistake and solve the problem
Bye !
