If the other application is hosted in a webserver, then it's a webapp right? It can be accessed through an URL?

How about having that button make a form submission, and the action target would be your second web app.

ya okay say my web app in webserver 1 and other webapp in webserver 2
each of these webapp has the same (user authentication same password and username) so is it possible that if i authenticate one application then automatically other is started and authenticated (something like sessions)
It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
