Any huge issues with the Tomcat http connector?

I would be interested to know if anyone can report any major issues they have experienced with the webserver portion of Tomcat. One comment I have seen elsewhere is that Tomcat has somewhat poorer performance doing static html pages on it's own. But if you use almost totally servlets and jsp, and you don't mind requiring folks to include the port following the ip address in the url string, is there still any huge advantage to hooking Tomcat up with Apache?

I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
