log rotation in Tomcat and Apache

Hello all:
I am using Tomcat 4.x and Apache 1.3.26 on RH7.3. I have noticed that the catalina.out gets REALLY huge after a while. I believe that sometimes this file is appended with a date and then a new catalina.out is created. I would like to do this daily with both the catalina.out and access_log for Apache. Will I have to use a crontab or does the software support doing this with some setting?

On the linux environment you should be able to use the logrotate tool. I haven't used it myself. You could probably get more info on logrotate on the Linux/Unix forums.
