I have standalone Tomcat 4.1.x set up, with a servlet in /webapps/portfolio/WEB-INF/classes/testsend.class.
It's invoked from a java application like so:
URL myConnection = new URL("http://joelhost:8080/portfolio/servlet/testsend?id=" + acctnum);
I have an entry in server.xml:
<Context path="/portfolio" docBase="portfolio" debug="0" reloadable="true" />
This works fine; the application invokes the servlet which returns a serialized hashtable using an ObjectInputStream
I set up a .WAR file with the same directory structure to deploy under JBoss/Tomcat.
I made the same entry in the server.xml file as above. However, when I frire up the application, I get a http://joelhost:8080/portfolio/servlet/testsend?id=1701

Never mind. I figured it out - I needed to uncomment the mapping for the invoker servlet in the web.xml file
I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link:
