Hi there, this is really new grounds for me. But am doing a research paper on portal servers and thought javaranch would be the best place to get an unbiased opinion on differences.. am lookin at 2 servers one from the money world the IBM portal solution which cost like huge amount of money and Jetspeed the other extreme costing nothing but an investment in time and patience.... wont ask the reason for huge difference in cost but could anybody point out the reason for the other difference like the huge amount of resources required for the IBM as against the JetSpeed. also would be great if i could get some sights on other differences between the two. i need to make a decision on going for either one based on requirements and capabilities and i need this important question of portability between the 2. does it exist?? thnx... jack ps: tried my luck with the web shere thread.....
