I want to configure Tomcat so that my application runs in a directory other than 'examples'.
This is the directory structure that I want to use:
/etc/jakarta-tomcat-4.0.4/webapps/myapps
in the myapps directory, I want to place index.html
I want to configure my server so that a call to http://localhost:8080 will return the index page.
Also, I have servlets that run on the server and would like to have them in the WEB-INF/classes directory located in myapps directory.
The servlets need to be able to redirect a request to user/index.html which is located in myapps directory.
My directory structure looks like the following:
/etc/jakarta-tomcat-4.0.4/webapps/myapps -default index.html location
/etc/jakarta-tomcat-4.0.4/webapps/myapps/WEB-INF/classes -servlet location
/etc/jakarta-tomcat-4.0.4/webapps/myapps/user -user specific index.html location.
Somebody please help!
If you respond to me with additional questions, please check back for my responses and reply back.
