Hi
am running an application on tomcat3.22 ,which uses a database connection pooling and connects to DB2.For maintaining the connection pool,we use in a thread which sleeps for 5 min and then keeps on opening connections. Some time am getting in the below exception ..can any one suggest ,why this error and whether tomcat is the reason for this or the DB2 or the source code..any help would be of great help.

well look at the stack trace.

is there any classes there that are from db2? any classes from your connection pooling?

The most likely cause of a 'broken pipe' io exception is someone closing their browser before a response has been finished.

Hi Mike,
Well the stack doesnt reflect any DB2 classes nor the connection pooling classes, but the connection pooling classes run in a continuos thread for maintaining in the connection all the time and i used DB2 datasource.
Also this error doesnt reflect on the Development enviroment which is on NT,its replicated on UAT or production system which is on linux partition.
is it something to do with the OS too ?
