driver not found error in Tomcat 3.3.2

Hi,
I am getting the following error when i am trying to run my application thru the tomcat server.
Error: 500
Location: /mtdc/mtdc/scrRegistration_new.jsp
Internal Servlet Error:

I have added the classes12.zip in the lib folder of tomcat and i have also added it in the user classpath of the environment variables.
but it still gives the same problem.
the tomcat is successfully started i guess.
Please Help.

rename classes12.zip to classes12.jar
