Angela, that figure from extreme tracking is just for hits to the home page. About twice as many people visit the ranch as hit the home page each day. On top of that, their stats for monthly unique visitors is not accurate. I'm pretty sure that they just add the daily unique visitors. So if a person visits on two different days, that person gets counted as two unique users - not very accurate. Web trends tracks the number of unique users per day to the whole site at about double of what we get on the home page. But if the same person comes to the ranch twenty times a day for the whole month, that person is still counted as one person. Webtrends shows 42,524 unique users for October.
Oh .. OK I did't realise that! Of course it makes more sense to have the whole site monitered rather than just the home page ... personally at Home I have the Saloon Page as my Home page ... so I rarely go to index.html ...still 42,524 unique users .. still proves my point!
My boyfriend and mum are distinctly unimpressed that I've left them staring at the Christmas tree on Christmas eve while I check in here to see if anything exciting's been posted. I don't think there'll be any chocolate decorations left! Kathy
