I have the following problem:

I deployed my app onto my school's web server, and the tomcat doesn't seem to compile the files inside work/ directory (it doesn't even create them)... it only created index.jsp, 404.jsp, and error.jsp, which are specified in web.xml as welcome and error files... the rest of the files simply aren't found...

Anybody ever had this problem?

1. Does the normal Tomcat startup index.jsp show as expected?
2. Exactly where did you put your .jsp files - show the directory structure under webapps please.
3. If you are trying to create your own "web application" - did you create a web.xml file for it?

I figured out the problem...

Tomcat folder had its group set to my username (linux), and for some reason the WORK folder for my application was root's... I dunno how that happened, but I just changed the app name and everything worked just fine..
