urgent JVM memory size, Please reply

can i increase jvm memory size with jsp.
i m useing tomcat4

or there is any other way to do this

Have tried setting the CATALINA_OPTS="-Xmx128m -Xms128m" environment variable, but seems to have no effect

Try setting the JAVA_OPTS variable in the Catalina.bat file that actually starts Tomcat, rather than as an Environment variable.

I think we had another message thread on memory recently, try searching.

Do you honestly think that "urgent" "please reply" will have any effect on whether or not you get an answer?

vikas, I deleted your first 'urgent' post, which you had posted only about 10 minutes previous to this one.

One thing to consider in the future, is that a large number of javaranch users are potentially in a different timezone than you. I certainly wasn't awake at 6AM this morning.
