Hi! I'm new in JSP/Servlet and tried to install Tomcat server. I set the environment variables as the docs wrote, but it doesn't works. I started startup.bat, the Tomcat shows: Using Catalina_home... Using Java_home... ... and I thought, Tomcat has benn started, but not. The browser cant find http://localhost:8080 I have no other things on this port, I did'nt find tomcat.exe in my PC's process list. Anyone can help? best regards, daimon
If you try executing startup.bat from a command prompt window with a normal Tomcat install, and a second window does not appear and stay open, then something is failing. There have been MANY discussions in this forum by people with this problem - you should review the last few weeks of posts for some ideas. Bill [ August 18, 2004: Message edited by: William Brogden ]
I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link: http://aspose.com
