I downloaded the sample chapters from the book official home page

There are an introductory chapter plus six chapters in that zip archive... I tried to read all the chapters, but I found out that from introductory chapter to chapter-5, there are no explanation text in the PDF files... Only some scattered texts and Java codes are there... Is that some kind of security-protected PDFs or sthing? But I can read the chapter-6 fully... It got all explanation text, accompanied with Java codes...

Anyone who downloaded the sample chapters got problem like me?

Thanks...

Hi Budi,
I am sure that it's still the same as teh files that I downloaded before... I also tried to open on other computers also to make sure whether the acrobat reader in my computer works fine or not... It's still the same...

Since I could only read the cahpter-6, I'm reading that and I'll raise some more questions from that chapter... Thanks...

I can confirm that the introduction and all five sample chapters render fine for me.

Well, Mr.Dirk, then I guess all Acrobat readers in the computers of my office might got problem, since they use the same instance of Acrobat reader from the same CD...

BTW, Mr.Dirk, are you able to read the explanation text, not the Java codes and scattered words, in the sample chapters? I couldn't...

Well, I'd better try them in the computers of university lab... Thanks for the confirmation, Mr.Dirk...

Oh, well, the PDFs are rendered well in my home computer... But I just had a look at chapter-6 of the book at my office... In chapter-6, three important things related to lifecycle are discussed... Even though I've heard of them before, I didn't get into details like explanation in the book...

And one invaluable kowledge from the chapter-6 is about LifecycleSupport utility class which can be used as an easy way to fire lifecycle events and handle things related to lifecycle listeners.

I am very impressed in that the classes in ex06.pyrmont.core are explained in very deatiled section by section... I've never read a book that explains such detailed about an application...

I will have a look at the rest of chapters in this weekend... It's really worth that we got such many chapters as samples...
