Is Connection Pooling enabled for Tomcat ? I mean the way
it can be simply configured from the UI in Web-logic.

Yes, of course. Tomcat support Connection Pooling.

Tomcat use DBCP.

DBCP uses the Jakarta-Commons Database Connection Pool. It relies on number of Jakarta-Commons componenets:
1. Jakarta-Commons DBCP 1.0
2. Jakarta-Commons Collections 2.0
3. Jakarta-Commons Pool 1.0
