Tomcat 5.5 will not start

I modified my web.xml file then stopped and tried to restart Tomcat and it will not restart. I looked in my log files and this is the error I receieve. Any thoughts on what I can do?

I've tried deleting the web.xml and it doesnt matter.

Since that was called from stopServer, presumably the server was not actually running so that message is probably not related.
"Deleting the web.xml" Whaaa? Why would you do that? Restoring a backup copy would be good. A malformed web.xml will certainly prevent Tomcat from starting.
How are you starting Tomcat? You need to do it from a command prompt so you can see any error messages.
