Hi there,

My administrator installed tomcat on my development server under C:\Tomcat
When I login using my id, I could not see Tomcat under Start>Programs.

So I decided to browse C:\Tomcat\bin\startup.bat and click to start the Tomcat.
I got following error :

Windows cannot find -Xmx128m'.Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.

Can you comment on this

Hi Sri Priya,

This might be due to certain mal-installation or things like that.

By the way, a couple of questions that might be helpful in tracing the trouble.

1. Are all the environment variables set in ur system?

2. Are you accessing Tomcat from ur local system or from another server?

When starting Tomcat, does the console stand or it goes-off?

Cheers,
Swamy.
