Tomcat Client Authentication, Need client username

Hi there.

i am hoping some one can help me.

I have a JSP page running on a Tomcat 5.0.12 Server. I need to dettect the users logged on name, possibly the windows logged on username.

If i do
<% String user= System.getProperty("user.name"); %>, I always get my name as I am logged on the server.

We did it so easily with Cold Fusion and would hate to rely on that for it to work.

Thanks in advance.

Look into javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest.getUserPrincipal()

I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link: http://aspose.com
