Hi All,
I'm developing an applet that when finished will call a servlet on Tomcat version 5. The servlet in turn will return an XML file. The problem I have at the moment is that after the call, the applet fails with the following message:

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Lorg/jdom/Document

plus several other lines.

Basically, I guess that the applet cannot find the jdom.jar which I have placed in the %CATALINA_HOME%\commons\lib directory.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Angus

Well of course the applet can't find the jar file - the applet lives on a browser somewhere, not on your server!
You will have to put a copy of jdom.jar where the browser can request it.
