Problem with running the web application

Hi all,

I've got a problem with running my web application. When I try to run the start jsp page on tomcat it throws the following error even I have set the CLASSPATH and JAVA_HOME pointing to the J2SDK installed directory, and PATH pointing to the J2SDK/bin directory. Do you guys have any clue?

root cause

Unable to find a javac compiler;
com.sun.tools.javac.Main is not on the classpath.
Perhaps JAVA_HOME does not point to the JDK

If you're convinced that your path and JAVA_HOME are correct, there are two fixes. One is to reinstall Tomcat. The other is to copy $JAVA_HOME/lib/tools.jar to $TOMCAT_HOME/common/lib and restart Tomcat.
