Concatenation character in Tomcat4.1.31

i was working on tomcat3.22 and i had some java script functions, which had '+' for concatenating the file names.
eg :

its working fine with tomcat3.22 . but when i migrated it to 4.1.31,the concatenation character + doesnt seem to be working and i am getting PAGE
NOT FOUND character.

any help pls?

Replace the '+' with a %20. I don't think that any of the modern Tomcat's do a URLDecode on the string.

But why do you need it in the first place? Doesn't Tomcat handle the spaces in the file name fine even on Unix?
