Can a enterprise application be stopped using a servlet?

Hi,

I have an initServlet that initiates a few of the properties for my bean.
If there is an exception, I want to stop the entire enterprise application (not just the web application).

The bean & the servlet are part of the same deployed enterprise application.
Please let me know if there is any way to do this.

Regards,
Deepa
