Tomcat startup problem

Hi, all!
I have a problem with starting up tomcat 4.1
If I have JAVA_HOME = C:\Installed\Jdev902\jdk (because of an application I'm working on that needs this JAVA_HOME, for a jdk1.3), tomcat doesn't start.
If I change to JAVA_HOME=C:\j2sdk1.4.2_05 , it works.
What can I do to keep the first JAVA_HOME (with jdev)?

I seem to recall that certain versions of Tomcat 4 would not work with JDK 1.3 - was this Tomcat installation ever working with jdk 1.3?
Exactly how are you trying to start Tomcat?
There should be some more information reported when tomcat fails to start - if you are executing startup.bat from a command prompt, some sort of message should give us a clue.
