Adding a domain name in apache

Hi,

Right now our application is called like http://servername ortnumber.com
I want it to change to http://applicationname and then domain name

Where in http.conf file shall I make this change ?

Pls advice

Although u r not clear with your question, If I got u right, u r looking for something like this:
httpd://anyname.servername.com

Have u tried putting your required name and document root into the <VirtualHosts> of httpd.conf?

<virtual host>
ServerName anyname.servername.com
DocumentRoot /var/www/whatever
</virtualhost>
