unable to access jsp pages

i have installed tomcat 4.0.1 on win 2000 advanced server but i am not able to access any jsp pages in the same after that. i.e. when i say http://localhost:8080 it says page cannot be found and in the services of administrative tools of control panel it says that the service is started. i do not know what is wroing. please guide..

Have you looked at the log files in CATALINA_HOME\logs?
