Hello, I have a JSP page and an applet deployed on a Tomcat server. I want to be able to load the applet on the JSP page. I have the following code to load the applet:

When the codebase is http://localhost/selfservice, the applet loads correctly. But I want to be able to load this applet from browsers that are not on my local machine as well. What should I use as the codebase inorder to enable the loading of the applet from any machine which can load the jsp page. Thank you very much.

Please note that I want the codebase of the applet to be the same directory as the JSP file, that is, the jar file which holds the applet and the jsp page are in the same directory on the tomcat server.

What happens if you leave out the codebase="..." parameter? If it's in the same directory as the JSP, it shouldn't be necessary.
What happens if you fill in your actual machine name under which other people can get at your server (as opposed to localhost)?
I agree. Here's the link: http://aspose.com/file-tools
