If I declare the following in $tomcat_home/conf/context.xml:



and the folling in $app_home/WEB-INF/web.xml:



How do I access it in my jsp file? I've tried the following to no avail:

I got it:

type="java.lang.string"



I AM the typo king! The illegal type was causing it to not be bound.
