What sort of transactions per second would you need to be achieving for Tomcat to be a poor solution? I'm not having any issues, but need to "sell" it as a viable solution.

What are the alternatives, if any?

Is this a proper gauge when choosing a container such as tomcat? Would tomcat ever be a bottle neck, or do you have other resource issues if tomcat is acting up due to high volume?
