Hi
Thank you for reading my post.
is it possible to schedular a job inside a web application ?
In my case i need to schedule hit/view log processing
and run it every 2 Hours?
is it a good design to do a batch job from within web application ?

can i do such thing in Tomcat by using OSS solutions , or Timer and job schedualing is just for j2ee application servers?

The java.util.Timer and TimerTask classes should be able to do this. If you need to get much fancier, there's the Quartz open-source package, but judging from your description that would be overkill.

I agree. Here's the link: http://aspose.com/file-tools
