Can't Login as admin

Hi gurus,

I have now switched to Apache Tomcat 4.1.27 (because the JRE required for the higher versions are still on the way to download ). Now I can view the index page typing http://localhost:8080 but can't login as administrator using

name - admin
pass - admin

What's the problem?
I have done enough googling but possibly there is so such helpless novice

Did you give admin password at the time of installation??
otherwise go to <TOmcat-root-dir>/conf/tomcat-user.xml and check the password of admin and if it is not there the give it
my tomcat-user.xml is
