Hi

Can anybody explain it in brief..

with tomcat it is possible to access your pages with url
http://localhost:8080/somepage.jsp
How to access my webpage placed in tomcat directory on the internet ?
suppose my ip address is 79.185.7.16
is it possible me to see my page ...with url
http://79.185.7.16:somepage.jsp
if yes how..do I need to some configuration for it?

If the tomcat server is listening and responding on the same port (8080) then simply replace the word "localhost" with the IP address.

You can configure the HTTP Apache Server and redirect all the request coming for you application to the tomcat to handle. Like

ProxyPass /Your_Application_Name http://1.2.3.4:8080

Now, you can access you application as http://1.2.3.4/Your_Application_Name

Sorry I forget to mention that you need to need to have apache http server installed with proxy pass module and you need to add this in APACHE_HOME/conf/httpd.conf file
