A question fir installing tomcat5.5

Hello all,
I was hoping if someone can give me direction for installing tomcat 5.5.x and all that is needed for my jsp pages to work properly.Tryed it but nothing was working so what to do if the manuals are not helping.Post at javaranch.Thnx for time.

You're not giving us much to work with..

What have you tried?
In detail, describe your attempt at installing it.
Also, describe how you tested the installation and what happened.

Asking people on a forum to walk you through the installation of an app server is asking a lot. If you're going to do that, you should at least demonstrate that you've put some effort into it first. A good way to do this is to put some effort into describing what you've done and what went wrong.

sry for not giving much info.
ok,i installed jdk 1.5 and tomcat 5.5.14 and when i tried to show my jsp projects a blank page without an error occured on my browser.i think im forgeting something.i also use mysql 4.0.

Does the normal Tomcat initial screen show? How about the sample jsp applications, do they work?
How are you starting Tomcat?

yes with old tomcat installation the welcome page for tomcat works fine.with the new installation only a blank page appears.nothing works not even the welcome page from tomcat...
