Installation Problem

Hi everybody,

In my machine I am able to install Tomcat 4.0 successfully. But Tomcat 5.0 is not getting installed. The tomcat window is showing up but immediately getting vanished. Please guide me as how to install Tomcat 5.0 on my machine. i am using Windows XP.

Hi Jyoti,

First, remove the Tomcat 5 installation and Tomcat 4 installation.
Delete the Environment variables you had set for the Tomcat 4 installation.

Now try doing the steps again. Check whether all the environment variables are set correctly.

If you still face the error, I would suggest to download another release.
