I hope this is a configuration issue.

I have a xml file which contains some data of a chart.

The html file i call for from my browser contains a swf file reference which takes data from this xml file and draws the swf chart.

This all goes ok.

problem is when I make changes to the xml file the change is not reflected untill i restart the Tomcat.

Could anyone pl throw some light to it?

My first thought would be that you are seeing a cached browser page.

You are absolutely right...

I cleared the cache out of my firefox and all worked well.

This brings me onto some more queries..

Actually my xml file in the server will be changing in every five miutes.

And the browser will get the html file in every five minute.

This way I plan to give a near real time representation of the data.

Now how do i clear the cache out of the browser automatically??

Pl suggest

use no-cache and expires pragma headers
