isn't there anybody who has configured Tomcat5.0 for HTTPS? please help, i am in trouble as i have to complete my project and the Tomcat5.0 documentation is not sufficient as stated entries in documentation are not in the server.xml file.

There should be a commented out <Connector port=8443 (or443) entry in server.xml
Here is what worked for me
<Connector port="443" maxThreads="50" minSpareThreads="5" maxSpareThreads="25" enableLookups="false" disableUploadTimeout="true" acceptCount="20" debug="0" scheme="https" secure="true" clientAuth="false" sslProtocol="TLS" keystoreFile="C:\Data\Scrutiny\keystore\clientkeys" keystorePass="keystorePass" > </Connector>
I found the book "Professional Apache
5" to be extremely helpful for this and other configuration questions.
