Is it possible for me to create connection pooling in Tomcat 5.0

The Tomcat documentation -which should also have come as part of your Tomcat download- has a lot to say about JNDI data sources.

If you don't use JNDI, then its's up to you to use the connection pooling mechanism of whichever JDBC driver you use - Tomcat has nothing to do with it.
