Tomcat Installation in Linux

Hai Friends!

I m facing some difficulties during installation of tomcat in linux redhat enterprise edition-3. i installed apache-tomcat-5.5.17 and jre-1-5-0-07-linux-i586.bin under root directory.

My Env Variables settings are,


If i start the server it showing the following error:

cannot find /root/apache-tomcat-5.5.17/bin/
this file is needed to run this path

But file will be available under the same path.

pls,suggest me urs valuable ideas..

Adjust your 'PATH' setting it is not getting to your tomcat folder

Thanks for your Time.Could u pls tell me the correct path setting.i cant find my proper Env settings.I am very new to pls help me..

Either CD into $CATALINA_HOME/bin and type ./
Add $CATALINA_HOME/bin to your PATH (not 'path') environment variable.
